Default 2004 F150 Radiator Drain Plug Location

We just purchased a 2004 F150, 4.6L, with 102,000 miles, and need to flush the coolant. Can someone please tell us where the drain plug is located? I crawled underneath yesterday, but was unable to locate it.
Thank you.

in the 5.4, facing the truck from the front, is in the left side (passenger side) bottom of the radiator. if i remember right, its easy to see or reach from the top, not that much to see or reach from the bottom

Smile 2004 F150 Radiator Drain Plug Location

Hey, thanks. I looked yesterday from the top down but could not see it. I will check again today. It should be in the same location as your 5.4L.

Default 2004 Radiator Drain Plug Location

Does anyone know what tool would be needed to loosen the radiator drain plug located on the lower right side of the radiator (from driver's seat)? The plastic spigot branching from the radiator appears to have a plastic nut, with 6 sides to it. What type of tool would fit this?

Thank you.

both my explorers wer eplastic and so was my 150 5.4. Regular wrench will do ya fine, but only to loosen a bit. Use your hand as much as u can so as not to break. Same when putting back in; wrench only the last bit to snug it up, not tightn. They can't be hard to break.

On the 5.4 Triton I would use a little tube attached to the spigot male end, otherwise expect a mess.

Hey, thanks for everyone's help. I finally had the urge to tackle the project. The drain spigot is located on the lower right side (from driver's seat) of the radiator. It is a black plastic, resembling a T-connector, extending outward from the radiator, facing the engine. The drain plug is actually located inside the larger diameter body. Since it was hard to see or feel to determine what kind of wrench will actually loosen the plug, and with no telescopic mirror tool available, I had to use my Smartphone to take a photo of the spigot. The tool needed is an 8mm allen wrench.
