I have a 2004 F150 XLT 5.4 crew cab. When I bought the truck it had aftermarket exhaust and has basically rotted off. I have leaks all the way to the header. I would like to completely replace everything back from the header. I do like a nice sound but would really not mind a nice quiet muffler, funny how that changes as you age.

I am having trouble finding a product that I can install myself from the headers. 99% of the kits are all cat-backs. I thought about taking it into a shop but I am afraid they will want my to buy a new cat, $$$. I can use my existing and just chop out a section if I can find a kit that starts at the headers. I would rather do it myself if I could find a kit with hangers and everything.

Any suggestions?
