Default 2004 F150 Fuel in Oil

I have a 2004 F150 5.4L that i just bought in October of this year with only 13,000 miles on it. Well the other weekend i went up to vegas and i had about 16,000miles on it. Well while going up a hill i lost alot of power and my engine started vibrating. Now since i have been back from vegas i opened up my oil cap and i was able to smell fuel in there. Plus im only getting 12 miles to the gallon. The vibration on the truck only occurs when im at idle or at 1/4 throttle. Any idea what this could be? my check engine light is also on. Need help i went to auto zone but some kid was trying to tell me my rings were messed up. But there is no knocking. it sounds like a misfire in the system.

Sounds like an injector issue. You may have an injector thats sticking open...This could potentially blow the engine. I wouldnt drive it until you get it figured out

could be several things INCLUDING possible rings, you dont have to have knock to have ring problems.

Think and map out all ways fuel can go to the oil, head included, its not too many. Coolant is more fun to find for me hahaha

thats true. But I was trying to think of something that has been a reoccuring problem with many F150s and thats the injectors. If he has a sticky injector then it most likely is washing the cylinder walls with gas and bypassing the rings and therefore getting into the oil.
