I know this sounds stupid but from your first post I'd check your rear brakes. You said two mechanics told you it wasn't brakes but did they actually remove the rear drums and look? I say this because they can be a bear to remove. I had the same symptoms and it was a lining that fell off and would bind up in the drum.

My bad. The rears are actually a disc/drum hat if that makes sense. The outer edge is the disc and the center is a drum that the emergency brake pads sit in. One of my e-brake linings came loose causing an intermittent binding sensation.
