hard shifting
is it true that when you get bigger tires your truck will shift harder because of the weight? i finally found some 35 12.50 18 toyo open country MT's that are going on my truck with my 2.5 inch lift after it gets installed this week
will my truck shift hard since the tires are so heavy? is this something i should worry about and stay away from??

There have been a few posts that have indicated transmission failure after installing a lift kit and 35's; one came up just last week. He had to fork out over $2000.00 for a remanufactured tranny. The Ford dealer accused the lift and tires.
Others have been denied warrantee on failing trannys because of tuners. We all seem to agree it's best to put the stock tune back into the truck and drive a day or two before visiting the dealership for repair/warrantee work to avoid any conflict.
As to a lift and oversize tires; that cannot be hidden. If a dealer voids any warrantee, your choice is to go with a lawyer I suppose and fight it. That may end up costing you more than the repair though.

Forever making payments..
Lots of things... you could ultimately re-gear your truck.. but that one will flatten your wallet out. Exhaust, a nice K&N drop in filter, get E-fans to replace the mechanical one which consumes 15 to 20 HP under full power, get a tuner, buy a supercharger.
