HID LIghting Problem ?
I'm no expert when it come to lighting electronics. I'm having a problem with one of my HID lights staying on. When I go and turn on the head lights both lights fire and produce light. The issue is that my driver side turns off within a second of light being produced.
My question is, am I dealing with a ballast or relay issue? My guess is on the ballast. I'm ruling out the bulb because I get some kind of light out of it...
Also, any body have a good sources of get replacement HID parts?
Any in put will be most appreciated

Open each connector and check for any discoloration or crud. My guess is that you have a poor connection at one of the harness plug connections. When I had HID's (went back to sylvania's), my passenger side would cut out at times. I had a police officer pull me over one early morning informing me of a burned out headlight. When I exited the truck to check with him, it was working again.
Careful inspection of the three connectors my kit had indicated one pin within the connector has some discoloration; I used a pair of small needle-nose pliers to give it a slight twist, (after carefully scraping the connector to get it shiny) and reconnected the two connectors. Problem was solved.

My kit is a vvme 35 didital slim kit with 4300k bulbs. I bought and put the kit in fall of 2009. I have had no promblems with them till now. I'll check the connection, but i don't think that's the problem. While putting the kit in I shot a little dialetric grease into the connecting before connecting everything. So the connections should be in a pretty perfect conditions.
Would it be a bad idea in thinking its the ballast and to go a head and replace it?
