Default 2004 F-150 problem

We just bought 2004 F-150.....at first the battery light kept coming on, we had battery checked and alternator, they were fine....Then lights on dash and headlights dim when sitting or driving....so we took it in again, and they rechecked battery and alternator, and wires, everything was fine.....any ideas?

My 2001 F150 Super Crew 4wd with the 5.4 ltr. is skipping at 1500 to 2500 rpms and when under load. Sometimes it feels like it misses when shifting into overdrive leading me to think a trans or torque converter issue. When pulling my boat last weekend it occurred throughout the powerband and gear range which leads me to electrical or fuel issue. Most opinions are ponting to a mis-firing coil pack. When I had this issue on my last truck a check engine light came on and the code pointed to a coil pack on a certain cylinder and the problem was solved. This time it is a similar problem but no check engine light. please anyone give the suggestion....

Confused...is this two different posts by the same person (using different user names), or was the second post a highjacked post?

the second one appears to be spam. the first post seems legit. i would have them triple check the alternator though.. where did you have it tested?

Maggiemae, if you know anybody that has an OBDII code reader or go by an Autozone, and see if there are any codes stored. You could have a possible IAC out of range and the idle isn't high enough. If you haven't had the IAC and throttle body cleaned,I'd have that service done to it. If that doesn't cure the problem, the battery is getting weak and can't carry the load at idle. It may test as good but the cells are getting a coat of calcium on the plates and it won't be long and you'll be walkin'.

Hi, thanks for the replies, we took Truck back to where we bought it, and had it checked by there mechanic, two times, then autozone and advanced auto....

The idle does seem off to me, so will try all you have suggested, pretty sad when you see a mechanic and two auto places and they say, everything is fine, and you know the lights going brighter then dim, is not NORMAL.....grrrrrr!

Thanks again will let you know
