Grinding Noise from faulty vacuum actuator
Hi all, my 2004 has been grinding intermittenly, always at low speed, and usually when cold. The truck was partially engaging the 4X4 during these episodes. The dealer replaced the "vacuum actuator" on the 4X4 system. Ford is aware of the problem. They should probably recall the trucks because of this-I only had 18,000 miles on my truck when it originally began.
