2004 5.4 to 2005 4.6 swap is it possible?
I have a 2004 f-150 4x4 with a rod knocking 5.4 and a 2005 4.6 f-150 4x4 with only 23,000 miles on it. I want to use motor and tranny for the swap. The 04 for is a lariat and the 05 is a plain jane. which computer do I use and which wiring harness? the 4.6 engine harness looks like it will plug in to the 5.4 computer but the 4.6 has idiot lights in the dash while the 5.4 has gauges. the 5.4 harness has vvt solenoid plugs that my 4.6 doesn't have? I have all of both trucks but the 05 is totaled. any thoughts are welcome.
