This may have been discussed before if so ill keep looking through the posts, I have a 04 XLT 4.6 Supercab 2wd. At idle you can shift into Reverse and hear the whine, shift into neutral nothing, then drive it comes back and whines while driving I went yesterday and had the filter changed and fluid changed. Should i have it flushed, should i take it and have it looked at. The mechanic who drained it said all fords whine and its popular with the AODE transmission and i should go to the dealership and get an additive that will quiet it . Any knowledge will be helpful, other options i ve been told are replace the torque convertor and if thats not it its probably the pump. Anybody else gone through this Thank you in advance for any help...
