Post 2004-2008 rwd struts

Does anyone know what the original struts were that came on the 2004 XLT F150 RWD ? Looking to replace my original struts. Any suggestions on good quality struts that would not be to expensive?

Rockauto.com has the Monroe quick strut at a pretty good price. It's the full assembly with the springs as well. It's very convenient and " quick" to change them out. Even with shipping it's cheaper than a local o'rielly or autozone.

How many miles on the current struts?

If you do buy just the strut I would advise you to find a local shop that will compress the spring to install the strut. It would be very difficult to do it yourself with rented/borrowed spring compressors.

Thanks, the quick struts are what I am looking for. Which Monroe quick strut should I choose, the 171362 or 181362? What is the difference between these two ?

Probably internal stuff/quality. Spend the extra $39 each for the 171362.

Yep, 171362 is "premium" with lifetime warranty, 181362 is neither.....

I forgot to mention to make sure you order the right size. They are ready made for either 4x4 or rwd applications.
