Default 2004-2008 F150 Bilstein Shock Guide

Hi guys,

I wanted to put together a Bilstein Shock reference guide for the members. The following are a list of available Bilstein Shocks for the 2004-2008 Ford F150.

Bilstein HD Series (4600)
Bilstein B6 Heavy Duty monotube gas pressure shocks and struts are the ideal choice for most vehicles, including full-size sedans, SUVs and trucks. These shocks provide improved handling and stability, without sacrificing ride comfort. They offer super damping ability that makes them ideal for the driver who demands superior performance, while maintaining an exceptional street ride. (yellow paint, steel body)

Bilstein 5100 Series
Bilstein 5100 Series Ride Height Adjustable Shock Absorbers are designed for front coilover style pickup suspensions. The monotube shocks feature a 46mm digressive piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valving. Multiple snap-ring grooves in the shock body allow for different spring seat positions, providing 0"-2.5" of front end lift, depending on application. Provides increased wheel travel and improved handling! (zinc-plated steel body, Triple-C-Technology coating)

I've got a set of the 5100's (adjustable) for the front of my '07 150.
Hope to get them installed soon.
I am looking forward to a more leveled look.

I have the 5100's but I read boot down somewhere, if you look at the boot there are drain holes on it.

I believe those are breather ports not drain holes for when it compresses. I've always have done boot up.

Nice post, I would love to level the front but I'm afraid I wont make it into the car port. I am confounded by people the put everything but their vehicle in the garage.

My truck is the only thing that does not fit in the garage. Two cars and a bagger are in the current garage. I hope to get some sort of car port or perhaps another garage to house the truck.
