2008 F150 STX with vibration at certain speed
Hi all,
Recently got in to a 2008 F150 STX.
I started noticing a vibration in the truck when reaching 55-60mph. Anything under that is a smooth ride but like clockwork, once I reach around 55, a vibration I feel in the cabin kicks in.
I just took it to a Ford service dealer around my way and they inspected everything about the tires, including alignment and all was good. That was my first guess and what I heard is most common with this issue.
I don't want to start spending $100's for diagnostics. Has anyone else had this issue? What would be the next possible culprit? A belt maybe?
Kinda lost on where to move forward without spending all kinds of dough on testing.
Appreciate any insight!
Nick

I have the same issue on my 04. I have another thread asking a similar question and the few responses are that its due to a bad driveline and U joints. The rear end starts to shimmey around 47 mph and eases off about 55mph. Not sure what to do to try and fix it though... Please let me know if you find out anymore info.

I've heard the next thing to have checked is the drive shaft - but typically the vibration would be felt from lower speeds instead of higher speeds.
