Front brake caliper
I did pads and rotors on my truck and went to bleed the brakes but the bolt to bleed them broke on one of the calipers so I’m looking to replace the front calipers as a pair. I looked on rock auto and there are a bunch of different manufactures so what is a good brand to get? I Haven’t called my local auto parts store yet either but figured online would be cheaper. Also I see listed on rock auto that some include brackets and hardware. Do all new caliper include them and if not can I use them off my old ones?

If you're changing the calipers, change the hoses as well. Make sure they have steel pistons instead of the OEM phenolics and you should be fine

Why do you need to bleed them on a pad change?

You can use old hardware
Just use brake grease on the slide pins ,maybe a small amount of antiseize .on the bolts .I am about to change rotors /pads etc ,I use full ceramic pads to keep dust down . Use brake grease on back of pads and on certain metal parts to stop brake noise . Clean all rotors etc with brake clean .I had to use rebuilt cal because mine were sticking due to composite piston sticking after a brake job ,it was intermittent sticking until I found out why ,it overheated my front bearings .So I went to the centric mod on the front of my rwd so now I use 4wd rotors ,do not have to remove onetime bearing nut or torque to 295 pounds .
I am changing out rubber lines too . I'm with you I no longer like to push piston in without opening bleeder , plus I am changing all fluid out . 200k is too much on old fluid .

Get whatever Autozone or advance has and it’ll be the last caliper you ever have to buy (lifetime warranty). Same for pads. Rockauto shopping will be brutal on a caliper.
