I have an 04 f150 with the 5.4, I've been wanting a significant power gain so I've been looking around and I've seen superchargers but they are out of my price range. So I was looking at installing turbos or turbocharge it and the price is better but I was wandering if anyone knows a good turbo kit that won't drain my pocket?

Has anyone had the idea of going to a scrap yard and finding an ecoboost and getting the turbo system out of it?

Any ideas other ideas?

If you think supercharging is expensive, wait till you turbo it with an actual decent kit...

Point being, you're going to spend about 5-7k on the kit alone, plus install, plus tuning. No matter if it's turbo or super.

Yep, and the super will have better driveability & low speed throttle response.
