2004 - 2005 Transmission Service Interval
I need some help figuring out if it is time for a Tranny Flush. My truck was purchased new and has only towed 3-4 times with max 8k load. It had a complete flush and filter change when a bearing went in the tranny at about 30k. They had to tear the tranny down and replace the bearing which they told me was a known issue and a replacement part was already available at that time. The truck has run fine since. It has 67k on it and I haven't changed the fluid and filter again and it has only towed once since that change. The manual says to change fluid every 30k for "torqshift or 4R100 transmissions". Per the sticker on the door I have the "4R75E" tranny. Is this the same tranny as listed above. There is no mention of "4r75E" in the service interval manual that came with the truck. Can anyone help???
Oh, it isn't modded and I don't do any mudding or off road activities.

there are several options... some people will do a trans flush every 30k, i may do it. if not, some will do a transmision oil change once at 30k, then a flush the next, then a change next.
or you can always send your oil for test and go from there.
i would do a transmission flush every 30k

I test my oil regularly......
I have 58,000 miles on my oil and it is still at good levels...............
That said, if you don't do oil sampling- I'd stick with the book at 30,000 and flush every other.
