Gatorb8, are you happy with the running boards removed? I have been considering this but I always use them to step in, and they've never hung me up yet... not sure. did you remove them for cosmetics, or clearance, or because you bent them high centering on rocks? jk
Previous owner removed them, but I probably would have done it. I've always found that I adapt to getting in and out of the truck, it's a bit of a jump for my 5' tall girlfriend, but I'm there to help her get in anyways. I personally am not a fan of the stock running boards (just look out of place to me), and of course the truck looks taller without them. I may consider a set like the N-Fabs if I go any higher.
Are the stock running boards lower than the transfer case skid plate? If so, I would have bent them by now, I've some use out of the skid plate.
