2000 flarestyle topper on 06 Ford F150 Flarestyle bed
First off let me say this site is alot of help.
I have a 2000 flarestyle bed topper that i could buy, Its a few hundred miles away so cant really just sit it down on the bed rails. I am wondering if anyone has had any luck fitting the older bed topper on their 04-08 flarestyle pickup. and calling a topper shop it says there is not a direct fit for one but i have set down a dodge dakota topper on it and the only mishap was the bed angles around the wheel wells so there was big gap, but on the ends was fine

The bed dimensions from a 2000 are different than 04-08. I know from experience. It won't fit. The tailgate dimensions don't line up with the door on the topper. Only toppers for our year group will fit. Tried 3 different ones and none fit properly.
