Question 20" OEM Rims for KR tires and lifts

Lady's and gents - I'm specifically asking the fellas and real ladies who drive Fords vs the not so real fellas who drive Chevy's...

I've got a 07 KR 4X4 w/ the 20X8.5 rims currently with 275/55R/20 Good Yr. Eagles... What's the biggest tire I can put on this rim without rubbing w/ no lift?

I also was told by an Ford mechanic that if I used a leveling kit of 2.5" I could run 22" rims and 33" tires but I would also need to raise the rear 1" if I planned on towing anything...

Any help for Paw here would be much appreciated ... Thanks in advance.
