I can't really tell if it's dented or not. If not, I'd go to a professional detailer and have it buffed. It took me 2.5 years to back into a stop sign at work. Back up sensors beeped too late. Good luck with your repairs. If you have it painted, ask around for a good referral.

Can't wax it out because it is down to the bare metal plus it is dented.

Wife wants to know why I can't just drive it like it is.

That definitely stinks. But, the one good thing to come of this is that you will never ever back up without being careful again.

Fortunately, the hard earned lessons in life are the ones that you don't repeat very easily.

Had a neighbor buy a new truck a couple years ago, it only took him 5 minutes to total it. He left the the dealership got about 4 blocks away, someone ran a stop sign and T-Boned him. Poor guy never even got the Truck to his house.
