Default 2 concerns with oil change

I changed my oil in the FX4 today and two things concern me, looking for input:

1: Took the fill cap off and there was "butterscotch pudding" all in the cap and some down the plastic tube, but it stopped where the it became metal. I know this indicative of water, and not good. The fact that it was ONLY in the cap and about 2-3 inches down the tube and none on the dip stick makes me wonder if it just condensation? I do live in Oregon = wet!

2: last time I changed the oil I put in 7 quarts of 5-30w Mobil 1. What came out was 5 quarts. I don't notice any smoke coming out the tail pipe?

NOTE: 6K since the last oil change, truck has 91K on it.

thanks

Don't worry about the munge in the cap, it's condensation.

5 quarts came out.....and there's about a quart or so between what's in the filter and what's in odd places that a bit of oil collects and doesn't drain out, (mostly the filter), 6K miles, so you burned a little more than a quart?

Not a big deal.

My truck has had that condensation crap since Ive owned it and Ive put over 84k on the truck with no motor issues.

For some reason the amount of oil coming out never equals the amount going in on any vehicle Ive ever changed the oil on.
