another thing i tried this past week was Turtle wax Black Box. I was using it on wifes black xlt and said it just might work on the trim. Rubbed wax in good, buffed off and it looked great. Since the wax is black to begin with i thought "what can it hurt".

My truck looks just like yours. Mine is a 2004. Do the tires rub with only the leveling. I was looking at getting 35", but was told they would rub like crazy.

Default 2.5" Leveled with 35's

I'm running a 315/70R17 BFG AT's. They are 34.5" tall and 12.7" wide, no rubbing, didn't have to trim the valance.
