Default 2.25 or 2.5 out

Im about to get a magnaflow SIDO, I went to the muffler shop for them to look and give me a price, they asked if I wanted 2.5 or 2.25 for the outs, I asked them what the difference was and the guy talked about backpressure but didnt really give me a satisfactory answer. So, what is the difference or is there any in the 2.25 and 2.5? Thanks

Thanks for the reply, is there actually a performance difference or is it strictly a sound thing, everything that Ive read said i should go with 2.5 im just wondering what the difference would actually be. I did a little math and both the 2.25 and the 2.5 duals are bigger than the 3 inch single. Thanks

Unless you went smaller than the rest of the system, the size of the pipe after the muffler makes little difference. It's really more about what looks better to you and mabey a small difference in sound.
