Default 2 1/2" / 1 1/2" Autospring Installed

Installed the Autospring last night, 2 1/2" Front Powdercoated Level, and 1 1/2" rear block. Went well overall but had one snag. The damn ubolts were to long, didn't have a grinder or sawzall with me so I had to hack them off to get the deepwells on them to torque the nuts. Make sure you've got a big jack, I had to do a little improvisation to get the truck high enough. Also make sure you have a 21mm wrench because the ball joint stud rotates when you try to get the nut off with a socket. You do not need the 1 1/16" (27 mm) wrench in the instructions if you have a 1/2" drive socket in either size and an extra ratchet or breaker bar.

Got a couple new tools at Harbor Freight for the install, 1/2" deepwell impact sockets on sale for $20 HERE, an electric 1/2" impact wrench on sale for $45 plus $10 for the 2 year replacement HERE, and a pitman arm puller to get the spindle off of the ball joint without using a hammer $10 HERE.

My air compressor seized up a while back so I've been without air for a while, but this electric impact wrench embarrasses my air one, it's BA. Just need to buy some torque sticks for it now.

It was dark when I finished, so no pics of the rear yet, here's a few pics (tires are 275/70R18 ~ 33.4"):

The house is a friend of mine's, actually used to live there with him. He's nice enough to let me use the garage whenever I need it and leave some tools there. The driveway is stamped concrete, looks good and is stain resistant, but is awful to use a creeper on. I like it a lot more than the paver driveway I had at my last place in Destin.

I'm about to head over there to clean up the garage (was too tired last night), I'll snap the finished pics with the rear lifted while I'm there.

I'll probably leave these tires on for a while since they've got so much tread left, 35s will come after that. I've also got to get step bars now, my girlfriend is 4'11" and had a hard enough time getting into the truck before.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Definitely glad I did it, sore as hell though.

I've been thinking about either the Dominator II in black or the N-Fabs.

Damn that looks really good! actually looks like it came that way from the factory!

And that electric impact worked pretty well? I have always been skeptical since the battery powered Makita I owned...

Yeah, a lot of people here don't like the factory rake, but I'd much rather not be looking into the sky when towing because the rear of the truck is squatting down. It takes about an inch out of the factory rake, so this is a pretty good compromise.

Yeah, I was skeptical to, but I think like a lot of electric tools, being corded makes all the difference. It had no problem removing the 30mm lower strut nut which is torqued to 225. Even with the extended warranty it was only $55 (compared to the Craftsmen electric impact which was $170 IIRC).
