1st time ford owner
I'm a first time ford owner and I recently bought a used 2008 f150 super crew with the 5.4triton. I have a ? About my trucks engine. According to the carfax report my truck was made on 11/24/07. Does my truck have the new redesigned plug fix that ford corrected or did this fix happen in later 2008 models. I'm a total newbie when it comes to ford products and I'm just trying to educate myself on my truck.

I just looked over the engine affected dates. The 11/30/07 dates affected the 4.6l 3v engines. The 5.4L 3v were 10/9/07. I've got to check the build date on the engine, but I think mine has the newer design. Don't know if that means much, but I hope it makes changing the plugs a little less worrisome.

it goes by the engine build date...not the truck build date...look at your COP's...if you have brown boots, you have the newer heads. plus if you still have the left hand cam cover sticker the engine build date is on the info sticker.
