I had a low tire once. Even turned on the TPMS light, or inadequate air in rubber retaining cell light. I added some air to the intake nozzle at the edge of the rubber retainer and BAM, fixed my issue. Feel free to pass along my knowledge!

Admins, how about we close this puppy

I am not sure what you are getting at here. Essentially you had no comeback to my response so you are tossing crap at the wall to see what sticks?

Smarter than me? I have no idea, I don't know you, don't I engage in such speculation nor do I care. If you are implying that I am a grease monkey, I am not. As noted I work in the education system and automotive technology is just one of my areas that I have training in. Most of my time is spend in the more academic fields. However most mechanics I know are highly trained, well educated professionals.

More knowledgeable than me in the world of automotive, I think you have proved the answer to that yourself. However I could not care less. I just want to ensure people coming on this forum are not getting misinformation from people that "think" they know what they are talking about.

If your self description is correct, I would assume that your expertise in automotive electronics might surpass me and that would be very helpful in many responses. Again, if your self description is accurate.

I think I this point I have allowed myself to be trolled long enough and derailed this thread much farther than it already was.

Have a nice day
"If you like?" Since you are answering a question the proper punctuation is a period. Teacher.

"...don't I engage in such speculation nor do I care." What the...?

"Most of my time is spend in the more academic fields." Did you mean 'spent'?

"I think I this point I have allowed myself to be trolled long enough..." What the...?

"I just want to ensure people coming on this forum are not getting misinformation from people that "think" they know what they are talking about." Let's get one thing straight. I will never mislead nor will I ever share information that can cause harm to anyone or their property. I had a discussion with a Fram engineer and he asked me to bring to his attention any public forums that discredit their product. Should I do that? He may sue depending on the remarks and rightfully so.

Fram IS a very well made and an OEM equivalency product. If you have problems with that then I suggest you sue them. Better yet, contact them directly to inquire about the specifications of the product and if it meets OEM requirements. Even better, get them to close down by filing a complaint with the government that regulates these products.

Your fervor is about my mentioning said product. If you don't use it, so what. Do not tell people it is crap unless you can back that up. I have used it with great success on all my vehicles except during warranty periods. I use manufacturer supplied products until warranty is complete.

For the geniuses out there that just turn the filter on the engine without first filling it with oil, you will cause an air pocket and good luck with that.

I also use the very best oil I can afford. Are you familiar with an oil called Valvoline? It was strongly recommended by the dealer for my 72 MGB. I had to put a different type of oil in the carburetors...dual Strombergs. I wish I had that car back. I had to sell it before being stationed in Germany for 2 years in 1976.

Are you familiar with jet engines? I worked on them too. Very critical specs on those puppies. Hydraulic pumps, high capacity air compressors (5,000 psi), 440 volt diesel generators, fighter aircraft avionics computers; heads-up displays; radar; radio; weapons navigational with the weapons delivery computers and the test stations used to test them..........the list is almost endless.

Grow up.
