No opinion one way or the other but tell us what your view of oil additives is based on? What are your credentials to make such a definitive statement?

CLEARLY only Lucas oil has discovered the super, duper, ultra, mega, awesome secret to "stabilizing" oil that companies such as Mobil, Castrol, Pennzoil etc are clueless on and are so kind to sell this secret to the small people of the world.

Still Making the Annoying Ticking Sound...

Tried Upgrading the Oil: Went from 5w20 to 10w40 Conventional Oil (no issues for the past 400 miles).

Recently Added:
K&N Cold Air Intake (63 Series) Gained 1.2 MPG in Fuel Economy as long as I my lead foot doesnt take over. Its noticeably louder than the stock intake but not bad. Didnt really notice any major horsepower gains. However, it did change the sound of the stock exhaust to a deeper tone (LOVE IT).

Want to add a Throttle Body Spacer. Either the BBK-$285, JET-$85, or AIRAID-$130 brand....any reccomendations??? Also, I think the stock TBS is 75mm and the aftermarket is 80mm (not sure if the stock size is correct). Has anyone done this? Can you tell a major difference in the throttle response and/or Low End Torque?

Well I bit the bullet and bought two new VCT Solenoids and gaskets. Will probably be installing sometime next week. I just put an exhaust on my truck thinking that would help drone out the slight tick my truck is putting out and it hasnt so I'm giving it a try. Question, is the 06+ 5.4's just as susceptible to Cam Phaser issues as the 04/05?

My understanding on the TB is that larger is only worth it if it's boosted.
Spacers are snake oil from what I've seen.

Just my $0.02.

Common for the adjuster oil seals to blow.

Trust me, you didn't gain 1.2 MPG from installing an intake. There is a different reason for your fuel mileage change.

The only thing a TB spacer will accomplish is lightening your wallet and maybe adding an annoying whistle to your engine.

Do you think I should try a different oil? I am running the recommended oil 5w20.

My ticking seems to happen as soon as I start the truck up. From Idle to Redline there is a tick. Ive tried unplugging the VCT Sensor and the ticking still occurred, i even took it out to inspect it and it looked clean to me. The ticking is noisier on the passenger side than the driver side. I'm losing my mind with this ticking. Do you really think a different oil will fix my problem?
