How about doing a few sessions with seafoam to get rid of carbon build up. I say use good gas like Shell or 76, a week before the plug change run a can of seafoam in the tank and do about 3 seperate sessions of running seafoam thru a vacuum line followed by a few hard runs on the freeway. That should clean up the chambers enough to where you might have less breakage.

Had I known about this problem when I bought this 5.4 I would change the plugs every 40,000 miles. JMHO.

Although the original plugs are 2 piece where now they use an AUTOLITE 1 piece plug, from what I understand...I could be wrong.
