Default 13350 flasher 2004 F150

I replaced the flasher with an Tridon EP27. The original 13350 has a sixth pin that the EP27 does not have. What is this pin for? Everything seems to work so far.

Not sure, but if the blinkers and hazards work, why the worry?

Most relays have this "extra" pin/blade. One blade is normally closed (hot), one blade is normally open (dead) when the relay is idle.
