So other than the fancy "flare" the tailgate lip has, do the Hinges and Latches line up to our beds? I am about to purchase one and just want to make sure. Any one that has a friend that would let them "test fit" would greatly be appreciated. THANKS!!!

it has been talked about before i cant remember if it was a go or not. you could try searching but you might not find it lol

dont the rear fenders have the flare on them also above the tailight?

Yea, but again, thats not what I am concerned about. That lil extra is not going to make or break this tailgate working.

HINGES and LATCHES are my concern ONLY. I can Weld up something to cover any over hangs this new gate has to our old beds.

I would imagine they are the same, Ford doesnt change things unless they have to. You could allways take a ride to the dealer and "kick the tires" and take a look for yourself.

I've "looked" and my eye ball says it measures the same. No one around here will let me do a "test fit" on a $750 part, even if its them fitting it. Guess I'm just going to order my new PLATINUM TAILGATE w/ STEP & CAMERA. Go ahead, be jealous... It should be in within 2 wks, so end of the month, look for me BRAGGIN. lol. Thanks everyone!!!
