I will still call my dealer again about this though.
a TSB is not always conditional upon warranty, the individual language of the TSB will specify such......

case in point, FoMoCo issued a TSB on 4.6L car intake manifold that covered all vehicles in question up to 2007, mileage was not a factor.

Right, but that was in an intregal part of the vehicle's operation/safety. The wiper cowl fitment on our trucks and the rear door weather stripping gap on the 2004.5 Volvo S40 (for example) are not.

Yeah... I looked online to find it but found nothing. I am inclined to believe that it is possibly just a dealer looking out for a warranty customer. Maybe they noticed it was jacked up when he was in last and ordered it for him.

It is neither a recall or TSB, when I took my truck in for the fuel gauge today they ordered a new cowl for my truck, they are prone to having the retainer pins break as mine had done and replace them on vehicles under warranty. The cowl is considered a cosmetic item and such items are only covered under the original warranty not the extended or any others.

No, it is a common problem on all 11th gen F150's regardless of year.

Ever since my truck was new, it always had this problem. Our trucks being recalled for this problem was too good to be true.

It is a common problem. I already had my drivers side cowl replaced on my 08 F150. My friend had his replaced on his Mustang under warranty also.

Yes, my topic was incorrect. On my invoice it states Warranty Replacement where it would state a dollar amount. It was my driver's side cowl that was replaced and they said that it should never pop up again because Ford designed them differently, but we will see. I think that the only reason that they did this for me is because when I bought the truck, I took it back 4 minutes later when it popped up down the road. I was moderately pissed off at that time, but the winter drove me MAD. I could NOT wash my window because the washer fluid would blast over the window and onto the roof and the bed. I would have to stop at gas stations and hope that they had fluid in their had washers in order to get the dirty slush from obstructing my view. Bad design if you ask me.
Why 2 piece and not 1? I was getting ready to Gorilla glue that SOB in place until they called.
