Some walmarts that have recently gone through the newest remodel have the equipment to make new transponder keys! You need to call and ask! Fees are anywhere from 35-65$. Also depends on the vehicle....like apparently they can only cut and program 1996 mustang gt keys.....no other year?

If the Walmart you go to does not have the ability to program your key they will NOT cut it (unless you have a buddy working that dies it for you) it is aginst store policy.

I have never run Into a problem with 3 different walmart stores cutting keys they can not program. I know people that work there so I asked them what there policy is, if there machine is able to cut the blank they will cut it i was told by a employee there is no policy against cutting keys that may need programing. The only problem they have is some of there machines are not able to cut all blanks.

I got the it's policy answer from every Walmart I have been to and even looked it up online. I used to have a neon that did not have a transponder but their little machine said it did so they wouldn't cut it...

If you say so. I know what I got done I had 2 keys cut a little over a week ago, works fine in my f150 and my edge. If you have a problem with them where you live I'm sorry i can only tell others about my experience with getting things done where I live. I understand places have policy's and walmart has many of them but I have yet to find one in my area that will tell me of such a policy spoken about in this thread.
