Default 08 F150 Lag in Power/ Transmission

My new 08 F150 with less than 3,000 miles on it seems to have a lag in the power or transmission in between shifts. I have already taken the truck back to the dealership once and complained about it and they supposedly updated the PCM so I didnt get the RPM spikes and hard shifts at low speeds but I still have the lag problem. Does anyone else have this and how do you fix it?

Are you talking about the throttle response or the lag when up to speed and then trying to accelerate further?

Really its both. At a slow steady speed it will sometimes feel like it loses power for a second. At higher speeds when I accelerate it feels like there is a lag in the time it takes to pick up the power.

I had my PCM done which cured the rev problem @ or around 25 MPH...now I feel the throttle hesatation around the same MPH...just for a second...but it's there. Never felt anything while accelerating to high RPM. My Truck has 8K on it now..let us know what u find out.

A tuner will fix this.It will get your torque converter locked up and get your fuel open loop faster. When you floor it wot it takes 7-8 seconds to go open loop [full power]with the stock tune. Ford doesnt want you breaking anything untill the bumper to bumpers expired. They call it torque management.Just buy a tuner

Yeah..it's the torque management and the throttle design..... A tuner will make it a new truck......I love the SCT tunes from VMP.....I would have been happy with the Xcal instread of the LIvewire. My Troyer and PHP ones will be here in a month or so.
