Default 08 F150 5.4 4x4 4R75E troubles

Just picked up an 08 king ranch a couple months ago with 85K and have noticed that the trucks seems to rev slightly, followed by a harsh shift under light load and low speed. i know of a TSB for these trucks that says a simple PCM reflash fixes the problem.

i was just wondering if any of yall have had the same problem, and if so did the dealer charge you anything to reflash?

85k and the problem hasn't been fixed already? Contact a Ford Dealer Service dept. and have them pull an oasis and see if it has already if it infact needed one.

But what about a transmission service? You know when the last time the pan was dropped, filter changed and fluid flushed/ exchanged?

Ive got the exact same miles on my 08 xlt, and it does the same thing. Noticed when driving about 25-30 and gas is applied; RPM's rev up a bit (maybe 500) without any acceleration, then it slams into gear. Under normal acceleration the tranny is super smooth Haven't done any fluid changes

Only had it a month, been crazy busy....and many people advise against it as long as its running smooth and the fluid doesnt stink... Whats your opinion hotshot?

My truck has been well taken care of. I have maintenance records for the last 67k, so I'm confident its not a result of abuse or lack of maintenance. Ill try to take into the dealer on Saturday.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the new Ford Mercon a semi-synthetic? Anyone have that link to the online owner's manual?
