08 F150 4.6L Transmission Squeels when Shifts?????
When shifting at higher RPM's the transmission will squeel when shifting. Is this a big problem or is this just the transmission hitting the thrust plate or what???

Its an automatic, but it only does it if i floor it and then it shifts really hard. It is a really good shift though RPM's don't go down very much and picks up acceleration again really fast. I just don't think it would be the belt cause it only has 6000 miles so far.

Luckally it dosen't do it constantly it only does it when i'm pushing it really hard. If i drive it like a normal person it drives fine. But yeah I may get it checked next time i get it serviced.

If you can make it happen, take it into the dealership, and make them hear it and see what they have to say. I have ever herd of any sort of squealing being something that is normal. Get it checked out under waranty before it becomes a problem down the road.

Make sure its not your belt. I thought this was the tranny too but it turned out to be the factory belt slipping. Mine did it from brand new. There is a fix posted about this for a belt but I cant remember what its called/part number....srry

yeah i'll probobly get it looked at when i get my usual service done. When you fixed the belt did it stop? At least it really isn't causing any driving problems that I can tell.
