08 F150 4.6L plugging Air Filter with snow any ideas
I have a 08 F150 4.6L XL that I'm having trouble with this winter. It keeps plugging the air filter with snow. I had a 07 F150 Lariat 5.4l that didn't have a problem in 3 winters and just got a 08 F250 6.4L that has issues to but there is a new TSB out to supposedly fix the problem. The 5.4L had a longer intake tube before the filter which I think maybe helped prevent the snow ingestion. I was wondering if there are any idea on how to fix this or if Ford has a TSB out for the issue on the 4.6L also. Thanks for any info.

Is it plugging while driving it or plugging while it's parked? Here in North Dakota, we have to be careful which direction we park things because the wind will blow snow into the intake.

I know what you mean bleedblue I actually live in south central ND. Its happening while driving usually going from my house to the farm to get the snowblower when the drifts are 6"s +. We had a few times when we had 2ft drifts.
I also checked all the panels and stuff they are in place. It seems to be pulling the air from right around the headlight. I'm tempted to try a winter front next winter like is supposed to be helping my F250. Otherwise I don't know if something like a CAI would help I would think it would actually make it worse.
