Not at all! I'm altering a f250 6.0 harness and deleting 2 of the cylinders of the harness and making dummy cylinders and using a 6.0 PCM and ecu! Mainly because the LCF has the heavy equipment computer and you can't use obd2 scanners or programmers on it! So swapping to to an obd2 set up! So to sum it up it is almost a direct drop in and just a swapping of the harness! Other stuff like body control and other factory items will plug right into the f250 computers

I want to do this swap, that would be sick. I really miss my powerstroke but love the f150 platform.

Cummins 4bt swap would be sweet also.

I've done a 4bt swap into a ranger and a jeep CJ5 they are ok but my belief is if its your truck and a Ford a Ford motor must power it! Just not right getting a cummins in a ford but I've done them before just saying ford one would be better in my case since I work on them and know the engine since I am a certified diesel ford tech

I'm thinking a 4bt swap would be alot easier than the 4.5psd swap, esp electronics wise. Heck I'd love to swap in a 24v but that would be so heavy lol

The 4bt is way harder actually! None of the mounts match computer and all has to be changed to run and all! 4.5 powerstroke will mount into 5.4 engine mounts and uses same transmission as the truck already has! The harness is a direct swap into the truck as well as the computers! Uses a 6.0 f250 wire harness and its plug and play plus a few modifications and a retune which I can do all that at home! Custom write the PCM and ECU adjust parameters and fully tune right in my garage! 4bt you need to custom wire a harness custom engine mounts and way more!
