Default 08 f-150 super crew front suspension

Hey guys , has anyone else had their front-end make a popping noise when turning? I took it to my dealer and they were clueless . They said upper and lower ball joints were tight and the hubs checked out ok. They made contact with Ford engineers who told them to tighten all the front suspension bolts to factory specs . Still no dice ... It's still screwed up . Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated .

Mine is doing the same thing, I know it's my lower ball joints making the sound. I would check them yourself just to be sure it's not that. Also could be wheel bearing if your 2wd.

It's a 4wd . They said the hubs were good so I figure wheel bearings are not it ... I thought it may be tie rods or something too

If it's a 4wd and popping while turning, I'd be thinking CV joints in the axles.

So we have narrowed it down to every ball joint and your axles in your front suspension lmao.

I was getting the same thing but I knew it was my Ball Joints and Tie Rods. Just replaced them a month ago and my front end is quiet as a mouse. If you have the tools and time to do it yourself like I did I would suggest it as a shop will charge a pretty penny for the labor.

I spent a little over $500 for moog parts and a shop wanted $1100 to do the job with there own parts.

$500 for ball joints and tie rods?! What all did you replace? I got my lower moog ball joints for $40.... I can't imagine tie rods and uca's will be that expensive.

$115 for each UCA
$40 each Lower Ball joint
$15 each Tie rod
=~$360 w/taxes

$15 each sway bar end link (opt)

The Ball Joint press was like $110 then the 4wd adapter kit to put the new ball joints in was like $80 so well over $500 in all, but of course the tools are rented so your looking around $400 tops when all said and done.

So yeah I overstated the cost a little but I was including the rented tools.
