08 f-150 super crew front suspension
Hey guys , has anyone else had their front-end make a popping noise when turning? I took it to my dealer and they were clueless . They said upper and lower ball joints were tight and the hubs checked out ok. They made contact with Ford engineers who told them to tighten all the front suspension bolts to factory specs . Still no dice ... It's still screwed up . Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated .

Mine is doing the same thing, I know it's my lower ball joints making the sound. I would check them yourself just to be sure it's not that. Also could be wheel bearing if your 2wd.

I was getting the same thing but I knew it was my Ball Joints and Tie Rods. Just replaced them a month ago and my front end is quiet as a mouse. If you have the tools and time to do it yourself like I did I would suggest it as a shop will charge a pretty penny for the labor.
I spent a little over $500 for moog parts and a shop wanted $1100 to do the job with there own parts.

$40 each Lower Ball joint
$15 each Tie rod
=~$360 w/taxes
$15 each sway bar end link (opt)
The Ball Joint press was like $110 then the 4wd adapter kit to put the new ball joints in was like $80 so well over $500 in all, but of course the tools are rented so your looking around $400 tops when all said and done.
So yeah I overstated the cost a little but I was including the rented tools.
