so is there anyway to test the coils, like a resistance test with a meter or something that i can do, or do i just need a straw to suck it the @$#& up and take it in to the shop?

You could just buy one and swap it around a few times until you find your bad coil... I would highly recommend you fix this one yourself if you can... I'm not sure there is a good way to test a coil that technically hasn't completely failed...maybe someone else knows a way...

Go buy a coil or a pack of accel coils for what you would pay a shop, then change them all... $230 will get you 8 new accel coils.

Have you had good luck with the Accel coils? I've read mixed reviews. I recently had one of my OEM coils go bad and bought two new OEMs so I would have a spare. However, I can get an entire set (8) of Accel coils on Amazon for less than the cost of 6 more OEM coils. I was thinking of going that route and then using the 2 new coils I already have as spares.
