I'm not sure if you can or not due to the fact that the slip yoke is in the transfer case. but as soon as you crawl under you will find out. that's my video and if you grease it like this it should last you a while.

ok thanks a lot. I def need to get it greased. btw I live western mass also so if I have trouble I may look you up lol j/k thanks again

threw it up on the lift def have the 2 peice ds

talked to my buddy who's a ford tech he said he wouldn't do the grease fitting trick so I may just pull it down and do it like the one piece anyway...not sure

he said it's better to inspect and clean up the splines and grease them well. I'm still on the fence, your way is obv easier but pulling it out shouldn't be bad either. I have a lift in my shop.

wow was that easy!The thing was bone dry and from the evidence I could see this has been done before. I took it for a ride and problem gone! Couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the advice/direction.

Here's some pics of how dry it was in there. I could tell this has been done before by the zip ties on the boot and also I could see the previous markings the guy made with a yellow crayon.
