Default 07 no heat

Like the title says, I've got an 07 that has standard heat control (the *****) but i've got no heat. coolant level is good, temp is good, a/c work flawlessly, but no heat. im thinking its the blend door, but im not sure. not real sure where to start either. the only other things i can think of is thermostat stuck open, no thermostat, or blocked heater core. any ideas?

You can eliminate the last 3 with a cooling system flush.. which you may need anyhow as scheduled maintenance. Just let the motor get to operating temp. Then feel the heater hose going into the firewall one will be hot and the other cool if you have a clogged core. Most likely your blend door very common problem

How do you eliminate a broken thermostat strap by flushing the system? You can't. I'd pull the t-stat cover and take a look at it.

Doing a proper flush you remove the T-Stat. even if the T-stat was not working properly he would get some heat eventually .. it's not freezing out yet.

Then removing and checking your Thermostat would be the first course of action regardless right?

And if the strap on the Thermostat is broken, and defaults to wide open, the amount of heat you get would me so incredibly minor, you wouldn't notice it. I have had this happen on several 150's and Rangers.

I still suggest pulling your Thermostat as the first step towards your solution.

you had the strap on the T-Stat break on several F-150's ... wow that is some bad luck there.

Nah, only one (1) of them was wine. It happens. It's one of the reason why you flush your cooling system every so many miles right? Anyways OP, let us know what you find out with the Thermostat.

and its the blend door actuator for the win. Im actually impressed with how hot this thing will blow (just bought it 6mo ago). I will have no problems staying warm in this thing this winter.

pretty sure some of those doors are controlled by vacuum so a leak could keep warm are from getting in, also based on the thread you probably do have a bad radiator and possible head gasket issue, but i would start with looking for a vacuum issue
