Well, you can't really see them too well. Maybe it is just the pics. The Limited's are sexy already so anything tasteful that is done after that is just an improvement.

I'll try to take some pics in better light. Those were under a covered patio.

Its awesome to see what your doing cause from the day that I bought mine I had the same idea. Cant wait to see them painted, theres no doubt that they will look good and not many people will have them. Also, whenever i leveled my truck my shackles didnt bring the rear down level with the front, if your truck has the towing package look between the leaf springs and the rear end, there you will see a black cast iron block thats about 3/4" to 1" thick, if you loosen the u-bolts and remove both of them your truck will sit perfectly level and the best part about it is that its free. The purpose for the blocks is to give the rear that extra inch of travel or so and its part of the towing package. I just noticed that you said yours was leveled but it seems like the rear still sits a little higher. Why dont you think about removing those letters!? haha. I removed mine. But ill post the pic of my truck, it sits level within the 1/4" and the letters are removed. Take care and hurry up and get those things painted!!!!

Paint all day, those would look so much nicer, not too mention more noticeable, if they matched the body -- especially if they are a little banged up. How much is paint going to set you back? Can't be too much. Again, congrats on finding a set for that great of a price.

And to the poster that asked if they could be used as steps - unfortunately they cannot, the sit flush with the body and are strictly aesthetic. When I first looked at my truck, not knowing much about the Harley extras, I thought they may have been retractable, opening and closing with the door.

Thanks! I actually didn't even think about pulling those blocks out. I'll do that tomorrow. I really don't tow much and want it to sit more level.
As far as the LIMITED letters I actually don't mind them. I can't stand the other badging but it can't be removed without some body work to fill in the holes...maybe someday.

Here are a couple more pics in some better light. They are starting to really grow on me in black but I think they will look better and more factory painted to match the truck. I will however have to pull the plastic splash guard pieces that are just behind the front fender flare off as I don't think they will look good.

I am taking them off tomorrow to have them painted.

Well, I took them off and disassembled them on Saturday. They come completely apart but I didn't take the chrome strip out because it looked like it might be too hard to put back in.

The paint code on my truck, PV actually comes up as the Lincoln White Chocolate color and not White Sand Tricoat.

FYI they have about a .5" gap where they don't sit flush to the body. I am going to redrill the holes and trim the mounting brackets down before I put them back on so that they tuck up to the truck better.

They should be done on Wednesday. I'll get pictures up as soon as I get them on.

It's going to cost $250 to paint them. Seem reasonable?

Default here they are painted...

I painted the factory plastic rock guards that tuck behind the front fenders to match. The would not have looked good in black as is.

In my opinion this is how the Limited should have came from Ford. The factory steps just don't do the truck justice. They break up the clean lines of the truck.
I haven't taken the blocks out of the back yet but plan on doing it very soon so that it sits a little better.
