Also 35's will only fit if you're sticking with the stock wheel or something with pretty much the same dimensions as stock. Otherwise the biggest you can go is 33's.

Default tire sizes

From what I've been told and read when getting the tire size this is how it goes. When the tire size is written as LT285/65R18: The LT stands for light truck (if P is in front that is for passenger). The 285 is the width of the tire in mm. The 65 is the aspect ratio or the % of sidewall in relation to the width of the tire. The R18 stands for the size of the rim the tire will go on or the opening of the hole for the rim which in this case is an 18" rim. Therefore this tire is 285mm wide or 11.2". With a sidewall that is 285 X .6 = 171mm tall and it will fit on an 18 rim. To find out how tall the tire is you take the 171mm and multiply the 171 by 2 (because there is a sidewall on either side of the rim when you take the diameter or hieght of the tire) then convert the 342mm (171 X 2) to inches by taking 342 and dividing it by 25.4mm (constant 1" is = 25.4mm) to get 13.46" then add 18" for the rim and you get when round off a 31.5" tall tire with a 11.2" wide tire. When tire sizes are written as 33X12.5R17. The 33 is how tall the tire is in inches. The 12.5 the width of the tire in inches. And the R17 is the rim that the tire will fit on. So this tire is 33" tall and 12.5" wide and it will fit on a 17" rim. Hope this helps if you can follow it. Just saw people getting confused with what the numbers mean. For the english units the hieght is first then width whereas its reversed for the meteric units (width then hieght).

if you are going to just put a front leveling kit on and 35 on stock rims watch they dont rub, some tires have to be cut on the inside and most decent tire shops can do this for you. i have trimed tires in the past not a pretty sight.but the tire shop i,m dealing with now does this for you and it looks really good.hope this helps

Don't go with anything higher than 2.5". You'll be fine.
