Default 07 f150 xl Evaporative Hose Identification needed with two CE Light w/ code

Hey,

2007 Ford F150 XL with a 4.2L V6 OHV 2wd
Location - San Jose, Cali

Codes:
P0442 - Evaporative Emissions System Leak Detected (Small Leak)
P0456 - Evaporative Emissions System Leak Detected (Very Small Leak)

Looked for TSB's, found nothing on the Evap system. Any Suggestions or where to start looking would be great.

I'm also looking for the Fuel Vapor separator tube part number of the hose that goes after the Purge Control solenoid to the engine (I think thats what its called). I attached a pic and its circled in red. I was trying to look at the parts diagram to match it up but none of them has the correct bends. Maybe I was looking at the incorrect parts diagram?

Thank you for your help.

This.

Most evap emissions MILs I've seen were caused by the gas cap.

I think you are looking at the 5.4 diagram. I am dealing with a similar issue on my truck and have replaced that same hose on my truck but it did not solve the CEL. I also replaced the gas cap and that didn't work either... I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure it out. Even my buddies nice scanner can't narrow down the problem. IT SUCKS!!

Also, I had to order the hose from the factory. Apparently there aren't aftermarket options. At least that I'm aware of.

If the gas cap doesn't fix it, before tossing money at it, take it to a shop and have it smoke tested.

That's now what I intend to do. Appointment on Saturday. Fingers crossed.
