5x7, 6x8........same thing, some companies list them as one, some list them as the other

actually they are not the same thing..... some companies do actually make a 6x8 and most of them are a 5x7. the 6x8 will produce more bass, for what a 6x8 can produce in the first place.... but most companies make a 5x7 then put an adapter plater wither with the spekaers or make the speakers with holes or slots that can be used either/or. If you are not going to run a sub woofer id suggest a 6x8 if you are gonna run a sub then look at some specs and see what fancies you and the price range u wanna be in... I just went thru this and ended up getting 2 pair of infinity kappas for 75 bucks a set, crutchfield wanted 129 a set and they are rated at 100 watts rms at 2 ohm...them with a medium amp and they should be crystal clear as they are rated at 94 for sensitivity. (meaning they will separate the sounds u hear in a very good way...)
