Looks sharp!! If it were me, I'd install a fog light bumper. What size are those tires? It might just be the pic, but they look small to me(not tall enough).

Yep: Job # 1 = Maintenance - ALL of it. Get ye truck to a Known service state.

No sense festoonin' ye new-to-ye truck wif doo-dads if'n it ain't gunna be runnin' right, aight?

E.g: If it's been > 60K since the last plug change, or you simply don't know if they's ever been done - change the spark plugs.

Engine wise check and see if the cam phazers have been done. If not I highly suggest a lockout kit and while your there check the VCT Solenoids and spark plugs. Ford came up with a wonderful idea of throwing two piece spark plugs in there. So changing them out to Champion Platinums one piece plugs would be good. Other then that have fun with the new to you truck!!

Depends on what look your going for....I would do a leveling kit, de-chrome, exhaust, intake, programmer, harley headlights, etc but that's just my preference. But it would probably be more beneficial to clean the MAF & Throttle body, check plugs and COPS, change fuel filter, check FPDM, 4WD solenoid, and rear pinion seal just to be safe. You can spend a lot of money on cosmetic changes down the road, but personally I would take care of any mechanical issues first, especially with the truck having 144k miles on it. Looks pretty clean though!

Its been looked over by my brother the mechanic (and as always with anything used can't guarantee it lol) he said it looks very clean and in good shape but need plugs soon just because. Has new converters due to one of the exhaust manifolds leaked (only two of the bolts had to be extracted) and one of the vacuum lines came off the 4x4 so its been fixed. The underside he said was clean and dry. That is all that he found. it looks like the tires are just about brand new. The inside has the small tear on the edge of drivers seat and thats the only real flaw. Matt what is the lockout kit you are talking about? is that for the 4x4? bwf just going to make sure its sound before the cosmetics start happing but thanks for some ideas

The lock out kit is for your cam phazers, it costs about $900. Its a block that fits in the fins of your cam phazer to stop it from advancing and retarding time. Comes with a computer and a swedge for your timing chain.

Basic maintenance is first if you dont know if its been done or not. Plugs, cops, air filter up top, check all fluids, inspect brake pads, replace fuel filter. After all that I would change all diff fluid and trans fluid/filter. Also inspect the FPDM on the rear axle on the driver side, they corrode and cause all kinds of issues. No sense in have a pretty truck if it breaks down on you. I laugh every time I see a $800 Honda on the side of the road broken down but it has a set of $1500 wheels on it.

I don't think it increases or decreases your fuel economy it's just more for permanently fixing the cam phazer problem
