My truck is getting a new engine put in it by the Ford dealership under warranty. Engine will be in Monday, I'll check and see what company makes it then. My mechanic friend seems to think it'll be a Jasper engine, but I have no idea.

They claim to line bore the heads and put cam bearings in, they also put a high volume oil pump in them, special pistons and a few other things. Shipped to my door $3,200 with a 3 year warranty it sounds like a good deal! www.psengines.com/54target.htm is the Web address for the description on the engine. Has anyone ever dealt with these guys or installed one of these engines? I really hate to go through all the work of putting in a new engine just to have trouble again. I found a few bad reviews on them but, I also figure people aren't going to take time out of their day to write a good review if everything works out. What's your thoughts everyone? Still owe money on the pickup and love the way it looks and drives so I wanna get it up and running ASAP! THANKS!
Bought a 5.4L 3V from PSEngines and paid extra for no fault warranty. Engine lasted 1500 miles and still coast me over $1200 for another new engine to be put in. Crap warranty. pays only $50 per hour. What garage works for that? Go somewhere else. They are just a distributor not the manufacturer. Just my 2 cents.

They have a very durable product. I bought a 5.4 for my 2008 last December and it is performing perfectly

Default Going strong for over 5k miles so far....

Saved 2k vs "Ford" remanufactured (which I put toward new AC, alternator, etc etc etc)...Exact same engine....AER builds both... Ford dealer installed mine so installation was performed correctly and according to book..... It's like having a brand new truck.... HIGHLY recommend

I'm blessed by living in Tennessee! In or around Nashville we have a number of Top Engine building shops-the worst engine they've ever made is better than most crate engines. For a few extra dollars you'll get an engine that runs like it should have coming out of the factory, and more $$ you can get one that will RUN. Really, check out some of the Nashville Engine Builders shops, they don't spend big dollars advertising, as their reputation(s) get them all the business they can handle. Off the rack, or custom made.
