07 / 08 Overhead DVD player
I just purchased a 2007 F150 Lariat Supercrew with a sunroof. I found an overhead DVD player out of a 2008 on eBay. Does anyone know how easy of an install this would be on my 07? The unit does not install on the rails, I believe it came out of a truck with a sunroof. Would mine have the wiring harness already there, or will I need to purchase one? Any input is appreciated.

Depends on how big the unit is and the weight. My 06' has the factory dvd player with flip down monitor and the audio shop I go to told me there's no after market units that will fit the factory rails so they would have to fabricate new rails and supports. For a 7-10" monitor they quoted like $220 labor for new rails/supports ect. The 13" I was looking at was around $330-340 labor. And the bigger the monitor got the more expensive labor got. If you have a sunroof I would imagine it would be very difficult/expensive to install it.
