06 Transmission Slipping
This started the other day, after the truck sits for awhile. you start it, put it in gear and coast off at low speed, just normal everyday driving.from first to second is good, then from second to third the rpms jump up like it cant find the gear. anyone else have a problem like this. it only does it the first time, then it stops til you park and sit for awhile.

same sorta thing on my 04 5.4 FX4, everything works fine but 4th and OD are gone.. i pulled the trans out and gave it to the trans guy.. told me the OD snap ring broke. and a piece fell in to the vavle body jamming up the 3/4 valve. told me about 600 beans to fix.
