Hi, Any thoughts on buying the ford letter f150 inserts for a 2004 F150?
I know they would not be flush but it might spruce up the plain tailgate??

Don't quote me on this, but I think the letters are actually stamped into the metal in the newer model f150...My guess would be to call your dealer and see

They also make vinyl decals for inserts too, that might look better than say the Tufskinz domed style which are about ~1/8" thick.

Either option would like fine to me.

Yes they are, but I was wondering about buying the aftermarket letter inserts and how they would look on the 2004-2008 tailgate to spruce it up.

Wondering if anyone has done that.

Not sure what color your F-150 is but I have an extra set of the F-150 vinyl decal inserts in black I could send you. Just send me your address and I can put them in the mail. Probably is no good if you have a black truck, just throwing it out there.
